
A WINTER WONDERLAND
As Christmas catches up with us, you will notice a distinct lack of our beloved barbecues, as we exchange the archetypal summer tradition for our historical winter one. Yet, just as the snow will be pulling us out of our homes, why not embrace the crisp winter days with a winter barbeque. Of course BBQing is an art in it’s own right and bracing the wind whilst keeping an eye on that marinade might seem an altogether bizarre choice. However, with a range of products and barbeques designed to make the process easier than a microwave, there is no excuse not to. Here are some reasons why a winter barbeque will be taking the world by storm soon:
Is that a breeze?
The first thing to point out is that the times have changed. Ever wondered why we can’t ice-skate on the Thames anymore? Our winters are simply not as cold as they used to be, and with the advance of heating technologies, a patio heater is an entirely plausible remedy for the nipping wind, with many homes already owners. Perhaps most importantly however barbecues are a favourite for a reason: they produce brilliant food. Why give it up!
Out of the oven and into the BBQIf that’s not enough, we all know how stressful Christmas cooking is, and how on Christmas eve an extra hob would be the holy grail for a Xmas cook. Yet that is precisely what a bbq is, an extra grill- think of the oven space at Christmas.
Sizzle and spiceEqually, if its not the stress of Christmas cooking that will get you, it may well be the loneliness. Banished to the kitchen for hours, a Christmas barbequer can enjoy an atmosphere of cooperation, where everyone chips in just like those glorious summers.
