You should go and see a psychiatrist capable of assessing you for gender identification, and your suitability for going through with a sex change.
Past a certain stage, it is irreversible, so it is important that whatever is decided, it will not be something you might regret after a phase has passed. This is best examined by an experienced professional, who can evaluate whether not going ahead with it will cause more long-term psychological harm than going ahead, which must certainly be traumatic whatever your feelings.
It might be that you feel better as a sensitive feminised man (such as Julian Clary) rather than as a woman, but that can be found out. Beware that in certain societies (notably modern Anglo-American) the female is not particularly submissive, lovely or devoted except to her career and personal aspirations. Your definition of femininity is bound to offend some feminists there, so expect some opposition.
Some religious groups too might make you out to be a freak, and an offence to the way God made you. If you live anywhere near such a religious community, you should take this into consideration.
There have been quite a few very successful male to female transformations. Three that come to mind are the journalist James Morris, who became Jan Morris, Barry Cossey, who became a very successful model known as Tula (and even hoodwinked The Sun newspaper into a Page 3 display as well as a poster campaign for Lamb’s Navy Rum), and Dana International, who won the Eurovision Song Contest. None of them are particularly girly-girl (Morris was a bit matronly, and both Tula and Dana were proud to be female sex bombs), but as with all people, it is up to you to define who you want to be.
