Robin Hood Season 1-2 DVD boxset
The legend of Robin Hood has been as old as American constitution. A lot of literature is being written on him and several untold stories are there speaking about him who was appeared as an angel to poor people. He used to rob rich community and distribute the same riches among poor people. It will not be wrong to say that “Dabangg” is desi version of Robin Hood where Salman Khan is living the character of Chulbul Pandey and introduces himself while saying “Hum yahan ke Robin Hood Pandey hain”.
Salman Khan has portrayed the character with such enormous zeal and pleasure that he has become life line of “Dabangg”. And his body language, gesture truly born out of the same passion and delight that buoys up his characterization as Chulbul Pandey. Salman has experimenting with his writing skills has penned down his dialogues and why not he is born with the genes of writing from his dad, Salim Khan being a renowned script writer.
“Dabangg” as the title suggests it is all about fearless actions of desi Robin Hood. Salman Khan has played crooked police officer who is authoritative and potent enough to rule the place. After projecting honest and dedicated cop in “Wanted” and “Garv”, where he earned appreciation for his lawful activities. Here in “Dabangg” he will appear as corrupt police officer having law at his behest. His latest incarnation of cop with moustaches intensifies his personality and gives life to fearless character of Chulbul Pandey.
“Dabangg” is being founded on the basis of messed up relationships. Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey parts his ways from his step father Vinod Khanna as Prajapati Pandey. Chulbul Pandey’ mother Dimple Kapadia as Naini married Prajapati Pandey after the death of her husband. Chulbul also breaks up with his step brother Arbaaz Khan as Makhanchand as his father persistently trusts and favors him all the way. Sonakshi Sinha as Rajo brings some refreshing showers in his life after the sad demise of his mother. Sonu Sood as Chedi Singh always tries to poison one brother’s ear against the other and wants to grind his own axe.
Chulbul Pandey’s tussle with Chedi Singh and Makhanchand brings action into “Dabangg”. But being based on perplexed relations it can’t be termed action oriented film. Chulbul Pandey is presented mocking at life’s varying aspects. It has also got the romantic tinge with pleasant presence of Sonakshi Sinha.
Sonakshi Sinha has played the character of Rajo, love interest of Chulbul Pandey. She has projected the character with precision and aptness. Her innocent eyes speaks of herself; her glance moves like a searchlight and she manages to act like experienced ones while sharing screen space with Salman Khan. She has emerged like garden-fresh shower coming from the crowd of barbie doll type actresses.
“Dabangg” gives few briiliant performances by seasoned actors like Vinod Khanna, Om Puri and Dimple Kapadia. Though Salman Khan is in under the spotlight throughout the movie but the acts of these stars are worth to watch out for. Vinod Khanna was last seen with Salman as honest cop in “Wanted” and again he is back with Salman but as crooked cop. The movie is being made more entertaining after introducing Maliaka Arora Khan as “Badnam Munni”. Salman and Maliaka Arora Khan sizzle in this raunchy number.
Salman’s discovery Sajid-Wajid has composed music in accordance with the backdrop of “Dabangg”. The title track truly sounds like singing for fearless and dominant personality. Lalit Pandit’s work needs no evaluation as he has been awesome in his compositions. The music indicates the true spirit of Indian traditions.
Arbaaz Khan has been in Bollywood for last 15 years but could not live up to the expectations. And now debuting as producer he seems to have won the race in single attempt. Abhinav Kashyap disappointed with the response of other production houses gets life time chance with Arbaaz Khan to present his idea as script writer as well as director. All in all you should not miss the pure masala movie.
