Alternative to Barbie Dolls for Child — Dolls with Realistic Bodies?
Does anyone know of any dolls similar to the 9 1/2″ Barbie dolls, but with more realistic bodies? thanks!
Corolle does a 13″ doll that looks like a child instead of grown woman and that is relatively affordable (more than Barbie but not as expensive as a collectible)…you can find them by Google search. As an early childhood educator, I prefer child dolls for younger children that reflect the child’s own age group. Also, I think it is important that the doll be easy enough to dress and undress that the child can do that independently. Faith and Friends dolls and Karito Kids dolls are larger (18-20″) and look like pre-teen/tween agers.
