Ballerina cake decoration?
Hi,
I am decorating a birthday cake for a party on Friday but I need some kind of ballerina detail on the cake. I initially thought of getting a tiny little ballerina figure to put in the middle and surround her with candles but I haven’t been able to find one. So I was just thinking as a last resort of buying a ballerina Barbie and sticking her on the top of the cake in splits..lol.. But can you think of any other (better) ideas?
The cake itself is a chocolate fudge cake with strawberries. I’ll put (tall) sparklers around the egde and then little normal candles just inside the layer of sparklers – it’s going to be a very sparkly cake 
(Oh and it’s an adult’s cake, but for someone who dances ballet and is very girly)
You could make a big ballet slipper to go in the middle of the cake. bake another cake in a sheet pan then cut it into the shape, place on cake, then frost and decorate. For the ribbons coming off of it, you could use fruit roll ups. (you brush them with a little water, then sprinkle with coarse sugar…let dry, then use as decorative “ribbon” on the cake)
