A very odd question about my 2 year old son. Just a phase?
My step-mom keeps assuring me that it is normal but it doesnt seem very normal to me and im not sure if it is something I should bring up to his doctor at his 2 year old well check. I know this may sound really stupid to some of you but I am a first time mom and its something that concerns me. Its been going on for a couple of weeks, but he would seriously try to go through barb wire to get to the tag off of his “babies” or pretty much anything that has a visible tag on it and either chew on it or rub it between his fingers. At night time he has to have his glo worm baby or his spongebob doll so he can play with the tag on it to go to sleep. At his nanas house he has a mickey mouse doll he was sleeping with and she noticed he was chewing the tag so she cut it off and now he says he doesnt like it. Is this normal? Has anyone elses children done anythings like this?
Very normal. There is actually a very popular brand of baby blanket called Taggies (google it, I bet your son would love one) where the entire edge of the blanket is made of tags because it is so common for children to like to play with them.
