how much money (american dollar) will i need to live comfortably in Thailand?
I have done the currency conversion rates on x-rates but I do not know how far the Thai Baht will take me
decent apartments are available in bangkok, chaing mai, pattaya for around 300/400 american per month; you can get cheaper, as low as 100 american but you may not be happy with the facility; at 400, you will get @800sq ft (furnished if you want) with all the amenities; concerning food-if you eat at thai restaurants-12/day wil;l do; starbucks, mcdonalds,etc are generally the same price as us; as far as entertainment/tours-hard to say as i don’t know your taste-so in conclusion-800 to 1000 per month would allow you to live very well in thailand. Enjoy! i have been all over thailand several times, my wife is thai and we always enjoy going there.
