Can anyone interperate dreams?
I have been having these realistic dreams every Sunday night for the past 3 months. They are very similar each time and the same thing always happens to my dog…..she dies. The 3 most common dreams i have are where my dog , Pepper, runs off into the street and gets hit by a car and dies instantly, Another dream that i have the most is where I take Pepper to the vet for a sore on her foot and the vet gives her the wrong medicine and 3 days later she dies. and the most common dream i have (every Sunday night for the last 3 weeks) Pepper digs herself under my shed and gets bit by a poisonous snake and dies a week later. inn all my dreams i have a baby simulator doll. I get a simulator doll next week for my FACS class. I am confused by my dreams and i think i know what they mean but i hope i am wrong does anyone know? please tell me what you think even if it is bad news….thank you in advance.
The good news is, it’s not necessarily about your dog dying. The bad news is, there’s a very slim chance that it might be. Read on:
Our dreams rarely spell things out for us in plain English, preferring to do so instead through the use of symbols. So, here are two possible symbolic interpretations, and one literal one:
1. The dog is often seen as a symbol representing someone very close to you (e.g., “man’s best friend”) So, this may have more to do with someone close to you than your dog. Not to say that they are going to DIE, necessarily, for in dreams, death is not representative of death per se. It represents and ending of something–perhaps a friendship? Have you and someone close to you (think of anyone, mother, father, brother, friend, etc.) been fighting, and maybe you’ve been wishing they’d just go away, but you haven’t been able to say it? This scenario could be playing out in your dreams.
2. The dying dog represents something in YOURSELF that is dying, some part, some instinct you used to trust, that seems to be betraying you lately. I look at the doll you keep seeing in your dreams, and this is what I see: You are afraid of the upcoming project you will face. To you, it not only represents motherhood in and of itself, but also the idea that one day you will have to go out into the world on your own, and you don’t trust yourself to make good decisions. As I think about it, THIS one seems most likely to me. Interestingly enough, I just checked dreammoods.com for the symbology on veterinarians, and what IT said was that to see a vet has something to do with taming your instinctive behavior, such that it will be more acceptable (to you or others? didn’t say) in your waking life. This seems to lend a lil’ juice to theory #2. So does the snake, which indicates hidden fears or worries, or a person around you that you don’t trust (That last one could lend a hand to theory #1).
3. That your dog MAY actually be dying, and some unconscious part of you can sense it, just as dogs can sense seizure in people and earthquakes in the ground. For peace of mind, get him checked out (don’t get any prescriptions though!). If everything’s fine, then focus more on the other two things I mentioned….that’s all I got.
