Is it true that asian woman who immigrate to this country adapt to the fashion in this society ?

I’ve had a friend who had a Vietnamese wife and she was chosen by his family, It’s a tradition in Vietnam. The wife was decent looking and was a nice looking and pretty girl. But after about a year and half after she went over here, She turned into something completely different. She is now like a Asian Barbie Doll and I was very suprised to see her dressing like an american woman. I’ve saw her last week with my friend who is her husband out at the mall and she wore make up and lip stick with a floral flower printed dress and wore shoes that made her look tall as her husband. I’ve heard people tell me that asian woman adapt what they see other woman wear in this society and make it part of their warddrobe. Is that true ??
