Does anyone know where I can find dollhouse size American Indian-looking dollhouse dolls/people?
I don’t care about the clothing; I’ll make my own. I just want dollhouse people that “look” American Indian. All I can find are white, black, and Hispanic dollhouse people.
I can’t say I’ve seen a mass produced American Indian family – and I’ve been involved in the hobby for 20+ years. You might be able to redress the Hispanic dolls in traditional dress. Or you will need to work with a dollmaker. There are several gifted artisans who will make dolls to order, dressed or undressed. Most likely you would be working with someone who creates character dolls from polymer clay, as I don’t know if there are any mass produced porcelin molds. If you join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/THECAMP/ and ask there, someone may have a better answer for you. They will also have tips on redressing dolls, and most everything else you can think of.
