Where to buy cute and affordable dollhouse miniatures?
Hello,
I am currently interested in buying cute and very tiny items for dollhouses. I am particularly interested in items such as cookies, pastries, teacups/teasets, bowls, and other assorted and cute food or furniture items. I personally really like the Japanese style food sets because they tend to make their dollhouse items look extra cute.
Does anyone know of any good websites or stores that would sell items like this? I’m thinking Toys R Us would have something but I’m not so sure.
Just to give you a good idea of the types of items I’m looking for, here are a few samples from one website I found that I really liked:

Thanks to anyone who responds.
I’ve seen miniatures like that in hobby stores in particular, but there are loads of places online too.
As for ones from Japan, check out some of these links:

You can make lots of miniatures yourself though from things you find around the house.
Or if you want to use polymer clay, you can make all kinds of things –from the cakes you linked to (which probably are polymer clay) and other foods and miniature items, to actual furniture and furnishings made from it as well (sometimes using with other materials). If you’re interested in getting lessons for making all those things and seeing the loads of examples I link to, check out these pages at my site:
