dollar store HPT??? opinions please?
I got some HPTs from the dollar store and they say sensitive up to 25miu but on the package it says for in vitro use only but they sell as pregnancy tests??? what test can I take the ABSOLUTE soonest without going to the Dr. yet? I think I had implantation bleeding, but am irregular and don’t know when I’m due. thank you!
The absolute soonest I’ve heard about is 4 days before a missed period. I know the brand First Response is one of those that market the ability to do so, however any standard HPT you should be able to test at that time. The earlier you test the least accurate it is. So, no matter the results of the first test and no matter when you take it I suggest a follow up test a little later especially being irregular. I always advise the test at the doctor, it is the most accurate. It’s real quick. And if you do test positive for pregnancy on a HPT you’re still going to have to get a blood test done from the doctor anyway. It’s just to be certain and to test the hormone levels. I know it’s hard waiting. I’ve been down both the didn’t want to be pregnant and trying to conceive road. But you have to wait.
