Has anyone skimmed through the 600+ pages of the stimulus bill yet?
Ok, so it looks to me like almost all of this trillion dollars is going to the government and government programs. Can someone explain how this is going to help the economy?
25% probably will help stimulate the economy. Once it goes through the senate..then the house and senate will fight over the final draft of the stimulus bill. Things to think about…congress will not prolong this since their vacation is coming up in spring and Obama did say fixing will take awhile so they should take their time and get this one right because they were scammed by the bank industry just 2 months ago. In a crisis, it is very typical to pass a bill like this with all the perks of a majority party’s agenda aka ACORN, aka environmental research, aka new programs which will not help stimulate the economy. This happened with bush after 911. When the republicans pushed a bill with all the perks they wanted that had nothing to do with fighting the war on terror. Obama is repeating what Bill Clinton did on his first two years of his presidency, governing to his party, later after mistakes..governed bipartisan. Bill Clinton was more conservative than Bush in regards to economic policies and where was these so called fiscal conservatives Republicans when bush went on a spending spree throughout his terms?
